The Wildlife Rescue Center has postponed scheduling group programs and Wild Child Camps through Spring 2025.

WILD CHILD NATURE CAMPS

Through outdoor adventure and exploration, Wild Child Nature Camps create confident kids in nature and increase children's awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the natural world as well as their role in it.

DECEMBER

Missouri Wildlife Rescue Center Camp

WILD WINTER CAMP

Date TBD • 9am - 3pm • Wildlife Rescue Center • 1st - 4th grade • Cost: $55 

Don't spend your entire holiday break indoors! Instead, pull on your boots and dive into winter's wonders at the Wildlife Rescue Center! Explore our forests, fields, and wetlands to discover what animals have been there and what they've been up to. Use nature's craft supplies to design edible ornaments for the birds. Go on a behind-the-scenes tour (excluding areas with recovering wildlife patients) of our wild animal hospital and create special treats for our patients. You'll be amazed at how much winter fun you can fit into one day!

The trees are tweeting with the sounds of spring! Come learn new languages to discover what the frogs, birds, and squirrels are talking about. Play wild games and create crafts from nature. Explore our woods, wetlands, and forests for wildlife and the clues they leave behind. Go on a behind-the-scenes tour (excluding areas with recovering wildlife patients) of our wild animal hospital and learn about the types of animals we care for and how we help them.

Experience nature like a wild animal at the Wildlife Rescue Center! Come explore our big backyard and see what the world looks like from a wild point of view. If you want to learn about your environment, you've gotta get your paws dirty! As campers play through the day, they will engage their senses and become confident adventurers in their natural habitat. They will learn the stories of some of our wildlife patients and peek behind-the-scenes in the rehabilitation facility. This unique perspective promotes a harmonious relationship with native wildlife and links what we're learning about outside to the daily life of every explorer.
